Inca Trail :: Terracing ::
I look down upon ancient ruins with beautiful terracing on day three of the Inca Trail. Yet, these sites are just mental preparation for what is to come, the splendor of Machu Picchu. I stop to take this photo, and I am struck by the feeling of a magnetic pull. I cannot pause for long, I say to myself. The city of magical stones is radiating so powerfully that my legs are being tugged closer to its core.
