Inca Trail :: The Porters ::
I watch these small, humble men with care and awe. It is by this observance that I learn to grow the wings of a condor, and leap with the feet of a puma. On many stretches of the trail, I tread with the porters, and at times, I take flight with them. During these periods, I also learn the art of soulful hiking, which is the art of pure silence.
