Machu Picchu :: Moon Cave and Stone Chair ::
The Temple of the Moon is more like a low ceiling cave. Hundreds of little stacked rocks adorned with coca leaves and bits of food are spread on the dirt ground. The mini altars denote offerings to Pachamama. After making our own offering, we rest in the grand chair cut from stone and gaze into the jungle. No one knows the practices that were performed at the Temple of the Moon.
