Sacred Valley :: Pisac Cemetery ::
The guidebooks celebrate the market of Pisac, as do the local tour companies. So much so, that one might neglect the most unusual and fantastic ruins of the Cusco-Sacred Valley region. Walking at the base of the Pisac ruins, I notice a small cemetery. Had it not been for the blue color, I may have overlooked it entirely. This region is filled with tones of green, rust and gold; a burst of blue is startling to the eye.
